Jerusarema is a popular dance style from the Zezuru people in the Eastern districts of Zimbabwe. This dance is mostly performed by men and women together, although it can also be performed by women or men separately. It is driven by a single polyrhythmic drummer accompanied by men and women playing woodblock clappers and women clapping, ululating and/or using whistles.
