Kite Giedraitis

Kite Giedraitis has been playing Shona music since 1987 and began teaching in Portland, Oregon, in 1989. He was an original member of Boka Marimba and played with them for three years before traveling for a year in Zimbabwe and three months in Ghana. Kite currently plays with Fools In Paradise, which he founded in 2001. He has taught elementary and middle school students and now focuses on adult marimba instruction. At least 16 bands have evolved out of Kite's marimba classes.
