Housing will be provided in the following dorms: Harstad Hall, Hinderlie Hall, Stuen Hall and South Hall (Apartments). Harstad Hall and South Hall are the "quiet dorms" for this year's festival. The Mbira Gathering every night will be in the ground floor lounge of Stuen Hall.
Meals will be in The Commons located in the Anderson University Center. Adjacent to The Commons is the Old Main Market where beverages, sandwiches, wraps and quick-fix meals may be purchased.
All housing and meals registration must be completed and paid for by Thursday, June 13.
Rooms in Harstad, Hinderlie and Stuen Halls are available for both single and double occupancy. Rooms in South Hall range from Studios up to 4 bedroom apartments. In Harstad, Hinderlie and Stuen each floor will have a male and female bathroom which will be designated shortly before the festival. All dorm rooms on the PLU campus come with linens. Harstad Hall is one of the oldest buildings on the PLU campus. It has gone through numerous upgrades with the latest being just a year ago. Harstad has 5 floors and each floor has at least one lounge and kitchen and 2 bathrooms. There are a variety of single and double rooms on each floor. Harstad will be one of the "quiet" dorms this year and will also be the location for all of the mbira workshops, which will be in the lounges.
Hinderlie Hall is a newer building with 4 floors. Each floor has a lounge, kitchen and 2 bathrooms except for the top floor which does not have a lounge or kitchen. Go here Hinderlie Hall room map to see the room layout for a typical room in Hinderlie Hall.
Stuen Hall is adjacent to the Admin Lawn which will be the location for the Marketplace and Day Stage. This dorm has 3 floors with a lounge, kitchen and 2 bathrooms on each floor. Each night, the Mbira Gathering will take place in the ground floor lounge of Stuen, starting after the evening concerts and going until the wee hours of the morning. South Hall is an apartment complex containing studios, 2 bedroom apartments and 4 bedroom apartments. Each apartment has a kitchen and private bathroom and each bedroom has a single bed. Go here South Hall room map to see the room layouts for the apartments in South Hall.
You need to have an account and be logged in to select a room and purchase meals. Detailed information on how to register is here. Once you are logged in, click "Registration" to create participants and register for housing, meals, and concert tickets. Volunteer opportunities are listed here and in the above menu bar under "Volunteers".
RV camping will be available in the large parking lot just south of Tingelstad Hall. Go to Campus Map to see the location of the RV camping lot. Those camping will need to register online and pay the per person/per night fee. Each registered camper will receive a dorm key to the closest dorm (probably Tingelstad) for restrooms and showers. Housing check-in will be set up at the registration area in the University Center. See Festival Schedule for times when housing check-in staff will be available.

Meals are available and must be purchased in advance. All meals will be in The Commons dining area in the Anderson University Center. More information about usual food offerings at The Commons can be found here.The culinary staff will also be preparing special foods for Zimfest attendees at each meal.
The Friday Dinner Cabaret will feature African foods as part of the dinner selections. During and after dinner there will be music and entertainment. See Concerts Schedule for the list of performers at the Dinner Cabaret.
